The Bible is a book translated from an original language. As far as translations, something will be added/removed. I believe the Bible is missing on a lot of information.
I never thought that JW have no testimony because they have not been born again. Thank you for this informative video. Also a Christian has assurance of salvation. 1 John 5:13. All other religions are salvation by works so they can never be sure if they have done enough to gain heaven and eternal life. They are on a treadmill they can never get off because they would lose what they think is their ticket to heaven. Believe Romans 10:9 and 10:13 Jesus has already paid our sin debt. He died on the cross in our place so we don’t have to die. We have to repent of our sins and trust in Jesus! He is our awesome saviour who loves us so much. Turn to him! A good place to start to get to know our Lord is to read the book of John. Then read the whole Bible. It is God’s words to us.
Sir I am not a JW but I am a Unitarian Christian. John 1 doesn't make me run. You just misunderstand the verse. John 1:1 is simply saying God...YHWH is what His Word is. Everytime the bible uses the word "word" doesn't mean it is actually speaking of Jesus. God is what His teaching are: the Torah. Those TEACHINGS became flesh in the man Jesus Christ. Very simple.

So I could sweep that aside easily. Your reasoning is flawed for John 1:1 Colossians 1:16 does not say Jesus is the creator. He is the image of the Invisible God. Not the Invisible God Himself of which he is the image. In Greek it does not say Created “by” it is “in” him. The Greek word Panda can mean “All except”. See 1Cor 15:27 It’s obvious to anyone not blinded by the Trinity doctrine (which word Trinity is NEVER found in the Bible.nowhere). If Jesus is not a Son then the title is meaningless. If he calls God his Father yet God is not his Father then the title Father is meaningless. John 1:1 never mentions 3 persons it’s speaking of two. The biggest argument in the NT would've been the trinity and trying to persuade the jews that their God was now 3 in o1 but there is no mention of any such debate. The only debate raging in the NT was circumcision not a Triune god. This guy claims he sent JW's "running". They probably thought it was a waste of time debating with him. JW's are easily sent running with other things not the trinity. A well versed JW can easily overcome nonsensical Trinity twists of scripture.

The use of the Greek Interlinear Bible is crucial. The JWs claim their version of the Bible is the most accurate. If we were all to be taught the Greek language there will be no question of mistakes in the NT translations. The JWs' denial of the divinity of the Lord Jesus and the personality of the Holy Spirit has sapped them spiritually. They are forced to propagate the Gospel (?) using human means. We have to pray for the grace of God to ambush them. God did it to us. The very truths of the Bible they are criminally denouncing will hound them into submission to the Lord Jesus. The Word of God in our mouths is Spirit and life. The Word in our mouths is mighty through God for pulling down strongholds of the enemy like those created in the hearts and minds of the JWs.

1Cor 15:27,28 reveals that it was God almighty who subjected all things under Christ. But with the exception of himself. And in the end after accomplishing the mission for which he was commissioned the son(Christ) will submit himself to the father. So that God may be all things to everyone.
So let's examine his arguments; 1. John 1 1-3. Dr K tells us this verse supports the Trinity and the divinity of Jesus. Unfortunately , only two characters - the word and God - are mentioned. So, it cannot support a triune God. What Dr K failed to address is : a) what beginning is John talking about ? God had no beginning . It must be the beginning of something such as the creation of the earth/ universe or mankind. Dr K failed to address this question. Other bible texts inform us that the Sons of God/angelic beings were present at the creation of the earth. b) Verses 1 and 2 say that the word was WITH God. If the word is WITH God, then by all understanding of language, the word must be one other than God. Dr K failed to address this. c)If Jesus is the word in this verse, who is God? Is it the triune God ? Jesus is NOT the Trinity. Is God the Father in this verse ? Jesus cannot be the Father as in the doctrine of the Trinity, the person of the Father is NOT the person of the Son. So who is the God Jesus is with? However, if Jesus is the Son of God, one other than God, then he can be with God and he can be with his Father. d)Finally, Dr K makes the outrageous claim that the NWT changes the definite article to the indefinite article (a) to align with the beliefs of the JWs. If Dr K actually looked at the Greek text, he would know that there is No definite artricle in clause 1c and koine Greek does NOT have an indefinite article. The fact that the definite article is missing is very important and many impartial scholars acknowledge that this means clause 1 C can be translated as "the word was divine" or "the word was a god" just as it is in a number of bibles. Dr K's ignorance of all of this is astounding. Col1 : 16, 17. Dr K informs us that this verse shows that Jesus is the creator and not a created being. But let's look at verse 15 , where Jesus is called the 'image of the invisible God', the firstborn of every creature(KJV) of all creation (ASV). Again, an image is just that. It is some kind of representation, not the real thing. Any mage of a person, a photo , painting, sculpture etc is a representation. It is NOT the real person/thing. Being the image of God makes Jesus one other than God. He is also called the 'firstborn' of every creature/ of all; creation, clearly suggesting he had a beginning. This, of course, is unthinkable to Dr K as it undermines his entire belief system. The firstborn of the flock, the firstborn of the family , the firstborn of anything had a beginning. So we at least understand the view of the JWs who claim that Jesus is the SON of God, but not God. They believe he is the agent of creation as verse 16 and John 1 :3 state. All bibles add words- including the word 'other' - to make the verse more understandable. Impartial scholars know this. Furthermore, the word 'ALL' as used in the bible often excludes God. See 1 Cor 15 :27 where Paul spells this out. Phil 2 :9. Here Dr K well presents the view of the JWs and compares it with his own. Here is the verse in the KJV : " Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him and given him a name which is above every name." Dr K believes that this proves the deity of Jesus. But look closely at the verse. In this verse God is distinct from him (Jesus) . God exalts Jesus. (Can God exalt God?) Jesus is exalted by God and so is NOT God. Furthermore, we read that Jesus is given a name which is above every name. If he was given the name, he did not always possess it. This verse fits much better with Jesus being the exalted Son of God than him being God imself. Heb 1 :8,9. Dr K points out that the Son is called 'God' and tells us this supports the deity of Christ. Unfortunately, what Dr K does not inform his viewers is that this verse is a quote from Psalm 45 where it is a Hebrew King who is being called God. Does Dr K really believe the Hebrew King is God? Of course not! But he represents God; sits on God's throne just as Jesus does as the messianic King. But in Heb 1 :9, we continue to read ..." therefore, God, even thy God hath anointed thee with oil ....(Psalm 45 :7). Yes, in Psalm 45, God anoints his King, the one called 'God' with oil. The 'God' of verse 8 has a God himself in v 9 of Hebrews 1. A God who has a God is not God Almighty. Sadly Dr K also fails to explain that the term 'God' has a range of meanings in the BIble and that among those who are called God are Moses; Hebrew Kings; Judges and angels - even the devil. I wonder why he did not explain any of this? Is he just ignorant?. He seems to be unaware that the NWT translates Psalm 45 like many other Bibles actually translate Psalm 45 and so quote it AGAIN in Hebrews 1 Interestingly, he made reference to the Kingdom Interlinear and flashed up some passages. But did you see Heb 1:8,9. I certainly missed it. Here is a literal translation of the Greek : "toward but the Son The throne of you the God into the age of the age and the staff of the straightness staff of the Kingdom of him. You loved righteousness and you hated lawlessness through this anointed you the God the God of you oil of exaltation beside the partners of you." As anyone can see, this is difficult to translate into English, but Dr K wants to think the NWT is the distorted translation. However, an impartial reader - and we probably won't get many here -may wish to read the book "Truth In Translation" which compared many modern bibles , including the NWT to see who has rhe most accurate translation. It covers many of the points raised by Dr K but this book is written by a scholar. You may even me able to get it free online. But the findings in the book may shock you. I'm more inclined to believe Dr beDuhn than Dr k. Rather than make the JWs flee, Dr k has shown himself to be uninformed. I'm not even a JW and even I know he is talking rubbish.
I believe in “One God the Father out of whom all things are”. I believe that he loved the world so much he sent his Son to save us”. I don’t believe in a Trinity which is never ever mentioned in the Bible and you can’t find it. I can find that Jesus is the Christ the Son of the living God.

The Bible clearly states that before humans appeared on the earth, only Jehovah's family of witnesses existed in the universe. The first witness to leave the family was the angel who became "Satan" the first apostate. Today, either one is serving Jehovah or the adversary Satan. There is no sitting on the fence.
You refer to Heb 1:8,9. The expression “Thy throne o God is forever” is very true. Will Gods throne not last forever? Jesus seating on this throne is an expression of Gods sovereignty. And he was not the first to seat on Gods throne. The kings who rule in Isreal were described as seating on Gods throne( Compare 1Chron 29:23). Did you know that Heb 1:8,9 is a quotation from Psalm 45:6. And these words that Paul quoted were originally addressed to David who was a human king. Do we now conclude also that David must be almighty God? No! It is God himself who makes that declaration about the everlasting nature of his throne. The throne belongs to God not to those who seat on it. Any who seat on it are representing God and expressing his sovereignty. You totally did not comment on Heb1:9 which says it was “God thy God who anointed thee”. Therefore it was Jesus God that elevated him to that position. The context of Hebrews 1 is simply comparing the favored and special position Jesus holds with God in relation to other spirit sons of God. So it says “He has become better than the Angels”
In Rev 3:14 Jesus himself admitted from heaven that he was the first person God created. The words of Jesus are red in the King James Version so you know it’s Jesus speaking.

Many false prophets have gone out into the world. If they come with some other teaching other than the gospel of Jesus Christ do not receive them.😮. They come with another teaching that is not of God. These people are not allowed to read their own version of the bible. Therefore, they have no knowledge of 1st John 5:20. Their learning comes from the Watch Tower and Awake Magazines. They are handed down to the people to read and study from. Same magazines they bring with them at your front door.

I was a Jehovah's Witness and an elder. One of the things that made me to leave the JW organization was a better understanding of some of the exact same verses you are quoting John 1:1-3 and Colossians 1:15-16. Yet I only became a heretic against the mainstream teachings of the Christian religion. For me, while I don't quickly reject the Trinity doctrine but I think it sounds to me like a toddler trying to explain something in their childish way. Any way, it's always a great starting point for me to help any one to better understand who Jesus really is not only to members of my former religion but to any Christian in general. Yes John 1:1-3 does indeed indicate that Yeshua (Jesus Christ) is indeed God Almighty. Colossians also tells us that he is the image of God through which everything was created. Since I'm in Zambia (and your accent does sound Zambian, correct me if I'm wrong) I'd like to have a detailed discussion with you doc. I know if I were still a JW I would have also "Bolted," from a person like you, as you put it. 😅 But I feel I'm now in a place for a more open-minded conversation. Other than the Trinity I reject eschatological beliefs about end times. I think it wrong to read text in Matthew 24 and 2 Timothy 3:1-5 and use them to premise the idea that we are in the last days. I don't think we are in the last days as the JW's and the other Christians want me to believe. I also reject the Christian belief of "Born Again." All too often I hear a Christian, especially Pentecostals, claim to be born again. But I feel so sorry for them because these lairs have not understood the conversation between Jesus and Nicodemus in John chapter 3. I agree with you, We are not in the last days. I believe when Jesus stops the preaching work the Last Days will begin. In Revelation and the Book of Daniel it plainly says that in the Final Part of the Days it will be 1,260 days or 3.5 years. In that span of time there will be the Hour of Test in which The Eighth King will Rise. This will be The Last Days!

Sir. Colossians is not speaking about the Genesis creation. The entire context is the NEW Creation. 15 He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. 16 For by Him all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or [e]principalities or [f]powers. All things were created through Him and for Him. 17 And He is before all things, and in Him all things consist. 18 And He is the head of the body, the church, who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in all things He may have the preeminence. Let me ask you sir...at the Genesis creation were there thrones or dominions or [e]principalities or [f]powers? NO there were the animals and Adam. The Fact that the verse of John 1:1 actually contradicts John 1:18 shows that the rendering "....the Word was God" is wrong as also other verses in John will prove that to be the case. Verses such as John 10:36 where Jesus admits that he is "....the Son of God" and also his appearance to Mary Magdalene at John 20:17 further proves hes not God.

John 1:1 does not even mention Jesus! The word "logos" is not a reference to a Person but to a POWER which Yahweh God ALONE possesses. It was with that POWER that God created all things. That very POWER, to create by speaking, was GIVEN to the Man, Jesus of Nazareth, when he was 30 years old. He healed the sick, the blind, the lame, just by SPEAKING it. Having that POWER did not mean he himself was God but rather it shows that God had ANOINTED him WITH that POWER, as the Messiah.

Do you agree? So, what can we conclude when the preponderance of the evidence shows that no other person than Thomas, ever called Jesus "my god". Why suggest that Thomas' REACTION, at seeing the Resurrected Christ, was a Theological Statement? He was simply using the Title of "god" in the lesser sense, as was in common usage in Roman times. He recognized Jesus as being not only his "lord", i.e., his master, but also as his "god", i.e., his judge. The title of "Elohim", as you well know, refers to "the gods" who were judges. Thomas was acknowledging that Jesus could judge him, especially for his unbelief. But the Lord, instead of judging him, had mercy on him, and extended his hands and his side for Thomas to "not be in unbelief". Another point, if Thomas meant to call him Yahweh, why didn't he? Every Jew knew God's Name. He didn't use God's Name because Jesus was not Yahweh. Neither did the other Apostles or Disciples chime in to call him "my God", because they all had believed, except for Thomas. Neither did anyone, during the 3 1/2 years of Jesus' ministry refer to him as Yahweh. They ALL referred to him simply by the Human Titles of Christ and Son of God (the title given to the King of Israel).

What would Rome and the appointed King of the Jews, Herod the Great, do if they found him? Kill him of course. So, God's plan was to have His "uniquely begotten" Human son, the future Heir of all Creation, the future King of kings and Lord of lords, to "put aside" his ROYALTY STATUS, and to become poor, a COMMON MAN, just like his Jewish brethren. He used his God given AUTHORITY, not to aggrandize himself as the King of kings, but to SERVE the People. Thus, the Romans and the Jewish leaders were able to "capture" him and to kill him, according to God's REDEMPTIVE plan. We are admonished to adopt the "same ATTITUDE" as Christ. We are Sons of God in Christ, i.e., belong to a ROYAL FAMILY, but we are not to expect "royal treatment" but rather suffering and death instead. The Man Jesus was and is ROYALTY and was rewarded by God by being made Lord (Master) over all of his Father's Creation, both in Heaven and on Earth.
@@drkKennedy - John 12:41 is a reference to the entire 53rd Chapter of Isaiah, where the Suffering Servant is prophesied. Isaiah, in the Spirit of Prophecy, SPOKE about the coming Messiah King. He "saw" the glory of what this man, God's ANOINTED ONE (he did not literally see Jesus of Nazareth himself) would accomplish through his suffering. It would be UNBELIEVABLE, HARD TO UNDERSTAND, that the King of Israel would suffer and be killed, for God's GLORY. Jesus was proclaiming himself to be God's ANOINTED ONE, the Promised Messiah, the King of Israel, whom he told people to be QUITE about. He never told anyone nor did he ever claim to be Yahweh God Himself. In fact, he said that his Father was the "Only True God". Jesus' claim was only and always to be, as Peter said, "you are THE CHRIST, THE SON OF THE LIVING GOD", nothing less and nothing more. So, why do people want to make him a second "GOD" or for that matter a "GOD/MAN" when he is clearly a Human, albeit an IMMORTAL and EXALTED Man, who currently sits at Yahweh God the Father's "right hand"?

Jehovah's Witnesses don't argue that Jesus is not a divine being or a god, it's just that he is not the same God his father is. Jesus, the true God, angels and even men in certain situations were all called Elohim, in the Bible, translated gods in English and theos Greek. Elohim basically means mighty ones, or something similar. However, besides the rather obvious fact that they were both " with" each other John demonstrates that they are not the same God by using different Greek words to describe them. Jesus or The Word was "theos," (God or a god), however the one that he was with is " Ton Theon" The God.

I never thought that JW have no testimony because they have not been born again. Thank you for this informative video. Also a Christian has assurance of salvation. 1 John 5:13. All other religions are salvation by works so they can never be sure if they have done enough to gain heaven and eternal life. They are on a treadmill they can never get off because they would lose what they think is their ticket to heaven. Believe Romans 10:9 and 10:13 Jesus has already paid our sin debt. He died on the cross in our place so we don’t have to die. We have to repent of our sins and trust in Jesus! He is our awesome saviour who loves us so much. Turn to him! A good place to start to get to know our Lord is to read the book of John. Then read the whole Bible. It is God’s words to us.

Sir I am not a JW but I am a Unitarian Christian. John 1 doesn't make me run. You just misunderstand the verse. John 1:1 is simply saying God...YHWH is what His Word is. Everytime the bible uses the word "word" doesn't mean it is actually speaking of Jesus. God is what His teaching are: the Torah. Those TEACHINGS became flesh in the man Jesus Christ. Very simple.

Colossians 1:16 does not say Jesus is the creator. He is the image of the Invisible God. Not the Invisible God Himself of which he is the image. In Greek it does not say Created “by” it is “in” him. The Greek word Panda can mean “All except”. See 1Cor 15:27 It’s obvious to anyone not blinded by the Trinity doctrine (which word Trinity is NEVER found in the Bible.nowhere). If Jesus is not a Son then the title is meaningless. If he calls God his Father yet God is not his Father then the title Father is meaningless. John 1:1 never mentions 3 persons it’s speaking of two. The Logos and Ho Theos the Trinity cannot be got from John 1:1. Verse 18 says “No man has seen God at anytime”. Men have seen Jesus not God. They have seen the Son not the Father.

In the NT, if Jesus was now to be accepted by the Jews as the Almighty God this would’ve been complete heresy to a Jew. The Jews were monotheistic. They only knew One God YHWH. For a Jew to accept the Trinity it would’ve been blasphemy. So the biggest argument in the NT would have been to convince the Jews that Jesus was now the second or third person of a Trinity. The biggest argument in the NT would've been the trinity and trying to persuade the jews that their God was now 3 in o1 but there is no mention of any such debate. The only debate raging in the NT was circumcision not a Triune god. This guy claims he sent JW's "running". They probably thought it was a waste of time debating with him. JW's are easily sent running with other things not the trinity. A well versed JW can easily overcome nonsensical Trinity twists of scripture.

The use of the Greek Interlinear Bible is crucial. The JWs claim their version of the Bible is the most accurate. If we were all to be taught the Greek language there will be no question of mistakes in the NT translations. The JWs' denial of the divinity of the Lord Jesus and the personality of the Holy Spirit has sapped them spiritually. They are forced to propagate the Gospel (?) using human means. We have to pray for the grace of God to ambush them. God did it to us. The very truths of the Bible they are criminally denouncing will hound them into submission to the Lord Jesus. The Word of God in our mouths is Spirit and life. The Word in our mouths is mighty through God for pulling down strongholds of the enemy like those created in the hearts and minds of the JWs.

1Cor 15:27,28 reveals that it was God almighty who subjected all things under Christ. But with the exception of himself. And in the end after accomplishing the mission for which he was commissioned the son(Christ) will submit himself to the father. So that God may be all things to everyone.
So let's examine his arguments;
1. John 1 1-3. Dr K tells us this verse supports the Trinity and the divinity of Jesus. Unfortunately , only two characters - the word and God - are mentioned. So, it cannot support a triune God.
What Dr K failed to address is :
a) what beginning is John talking about ? God had no beginning . It must be the beginning of something such as the creation of the earth/ universe or mankind. Dr K failed to address this question. Other bible texts inform us that the Sons of God/angelic beings were present at the creation of the earth.
b) Verses 1 and 2 say that the word was WITH God. If the word is WITH God, then by all understanding of language, the word must be one other than God. Dr K failed to address this.
c)If Jesus is the word in this verse, who is God? Is it the triune God ? Jesus is NOT the Trinity. Is God the Father in this verse ? Jesus cannot be the Father as in the doctrine of the Trinity, the person of the Father is NOT the person of the Son. So who is the God Jesus is with? However, if Jesus is the Son of God, one other than God, then he can be with God and he can be with his Father.
d)Finally, Dr K makes the outrageous claim that the NWT changes the definite article to the indefinite article (a) to align with the beliefs of the JWs. If Dr K actually looked at the Greek text, he would know that there is No definite artricle in clause 1c and koine Greek does NOT have an indefinite article. The fact that the definite article is missing is very important and many impartial scholars acknowledge that this means clause 1 C can be translated as "the word was divine" or "the word was a god" just as it is in a number of bibles. Dr K's ignorance of all of this is astounding.
Col1 : 16, 17. Dr K informs us that this verse shows that Jesus is the creator and not a created being. But let's look at verse 15 , where Jesus is called the 'image of the invisible God', the firstborn of every creature(KJV) of all creation (ASV).
Again, an image is just that. It is some kind of representation, not the real thing. Any mage of a person, a photo , painting, sculpture etc is a representation. It is NOT the real person/thing. Being the image of God makes Jesus one other than God. He is also called the 'firstborn' of every creature/ of all; creation, clearly suggesting he had a beginning. This, of course, is unthinkable to Dr K as it undermines his entire belief system. The firstborn of the flock, the firstborn of the family , the firstborn of anything had a beginning. So we at least understand the view of the JWs who claim that Jesus is the SON of God, but not God. They believe he is the agent of creation as verse 16 and John 1 :3 state.
All bibles add words- including the word 'other' - to make the verse more understandable. Impartial scholars know this. Furthermore, the word 'ALL' as used in the bible often excludes God. See 1 Cor 15 :27 where Paul spells this out.
Phil 2 :9. Here Dr K well presents the view of the JWs and compares it with his own. Here is the verse in the KJV : " Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him and given him a name which is above every name." Dr K believes that this proves the deity of Jesus. But look closely at the verse. In this verse God is distinct from him (Jesus) . God exalts Jesus. (Can God exalt God?) Jesus is exalted by God and so is NOT God. Furthermore, we read that Jesus is given a name which is above every name. If he was given the name, he did not always possess it. This verse fits much better with Jesus being the exalted Son of God than him being God imself.
Heb 1 :8,9. Dr K points out that the Son is called 'God' and tells us this supports the deity of Christ. Unfortunately, what Dr K does not inform his viewers is that this verse is a quote from Psalm 45 where it is a Hebrew King who is being called God. Does Dr K really believe the Hebrew King is God? Of course not! But he represents God; sits on God's throne just as Jesus does as the messianic King. But in Heb 1 :9, we continue to read ..." therefore, God, even thy God hath anointed thee with oil ....(Psalm 45 :7). Yes, in Psalm 45, God anoints his King, the one called 'God' with oil. The 'God' of verse 8 has a God himself in v 9 of Hebrews 1. A God who has a God is not God Almighty.
Sadly Dr K also fails to explain that the term 'God' has a range of meanings in the BIble and that among those who are called God are Moses; Hebrew Kings; Judges and angels - even the devil. I wonder why he did not explain any of this? Is he just ignorant?. He seems to be unaware that the NWT translates Psalm 45 like many other Bibles actually translate Psalm 45 and so quote it AGAIN in Hebrews 1
Interestingly, he made reference to the Kingdom Interlinear and flashed up some passages. But did you see Heb 1:8,9. I certainly missed it. Here is a literal translation of the Greek :
"toward but the Son The throne of you the God into the age of the age and the staff of the straightness staff of the Kingdom of him. You loved righteousness and you hated lawlessness through this anointed you the God the God of you oil of exaltation beside the partners of you." As anyone can see, this is difficult to translate into English, but Dr K wants to think the NWT is the distorted translation. However, an impartial reader - and we probably won't get many here -may wish to read the book "Truth In Translation" which compared many modern bibles , including the NWT to see who has rhe most accurate translation. It covers many of the points raised by Dr K but this book is written by a scholar. You may even me able to get it free online. But the findings in the book may shock you. I'm more inclined to believe Dr beDuhn than Dr k.

You refer to Heb 1:8,9. The expression “Thy throne o God is forever” is very true. Will Gods throne not last forever? Jesus seating on this throne is an expression of Gods sovereignty. And he was not the first to seat on Gods throne. The kings who rule in Isreal were described as seating on Gods throne( Compare 1Chron 29:23). Did you know that Heb 1:8,9 is a quotation from Psalm 45:6. And these words that Paul quoted were originally addressed to David who was a human king. Do we now conclude also that David must be almighty God? No! It is God himself who makes that declaration about the everlasting nature of his throne. The throne belongs to God not to those who seat on it. Any who seat on it are representing God and expressing his sovereignty.
You totally did not comment on Heb1:9 which says it was “God thy God who anointed thee”. Therefore it was Jesus God that elevated him to that position. The context of Hebrews 1 is simply comparing the favored and special position Jesus holds with God in relation to other spirit sons of God. So it says “He has become better than the Angels”
In Rev 3:14 Jesus himself admitted from heaven that he was the first person God created. The words of Jesus are red in the King James Version so you know it’s Jesus speaking.

I was a Jehovah's Witness and an elder. One of the things that made me to leave the JW organization was a better understanding of some of the exact same verses you are quoting John 1:1-3 and Colossians 1:15-16. Yet I only became a heretic against the mainstream teachings of the Christian religion. For me, while I don't quickly reject the Trinity doctrine but I think it sounds to me like a toddler trying to explain something in their childish way. Any way, it's always a great starting point for me to help any one to better understand who Jesus really is not only to members of my former religion but to any Christian in general. Yes John 1:1-3 does indeed indicate that Yeshua (Jesus Christ) is indeed God Almighty. Colossians also tells us that he is the image of God through which everything was created. Since I'm in Zambia (and your accent does sound Zambian, correct me if I'm wrong) I'd like to have a detailed discussion with you doc. I know if I were still a JW I would have also "Bolted," from a person like you, as you put it. 😅 But I feel I'm now in a place for a more open-minded conversation. I do respect the Bible but I think my heresy potentially and understandably compels a conventional Christian to classify me as not being one. Other than the Trinity I reject eschatological beliefs about end times. I think it wrong to read text in Matthew 24 and 2 Timothy 3:1-5 and use them to premise the idea that we are in the last days. All too often I hear a Christian, especially Pentecostals, claim to be born again. But I feel so sorry for them because these lairs have not understood the conversation between Jesus and Nicodemus in John chapter 3. I agree with you, We are not in the last days. I believe when Jesus stops the preaching work the Last Days will begin. In Revelation and the Book of Daniel it plainly says that in the Final Part of the Days it will be 1,260 days or 3.5 years. In that span of time there will be the Hour of Test in which The Eighth King will Rise. This will be The Last Days!

Sir. Colossians is not speaking about the Genesis creation. The entire context is the NEW Creation. 15 He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. 16 For by Him all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or [e]principalities or [f]powers. All things were created through Him and for Him. 17 And He is before all things, and in Him all things consist. 18 And He is the head of the body, the church, who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in all things He may have the preeminence. Let me ask you sir...at the Genesis creation were there thrones or dominions or [e]principalities or [f]powers? NO there were the animals and Adam. That's why Paul doesn't say rocks trees and frogs but thrones or dominions or [e]principalities or [f]powers. He is talking about the New Creation.
The Fact that the verse of John 1:1 actually contradicts John 1:18 shows that the rendering "....the Word was God" is wrong as also other verses in John will prove that to be the case. Verses such as John 10:36 where Jesus admits that he is "....the Son of God" and also his appearance to Mary Magdalene at John 20:17 further proves hes not God.

John 1:1 does not even mention Jesus! The word "logos" is not a reference to a Person but to a POWER which Yahweh God ALONE possesses. It was with that POWER that God created all things. That very POWER, to create by speaking, was GIVEN to the Man, Jesus of Nazareth, when he was 30 years old. He healed the sick, the blind, the lame, just by SPEAKING it. Having that POWER did not mean he himself was God but rather it shows that God had ANOINTED him WITH that POWER, as the Messiah.

Jehovah's Witnesses don't argue that Jesus is not a divine being or a god, it's just that he is not the same God his father is.
Jesus, the true God, angels and even men in certain situations were all called Elohim, in the Bible, translated gods in English and theos Greek.
Elohim basically means mighty ones, or something similar.
However, besides the rather obvious fact that they were both " with" each other John demonstrates that they are not the same God by using different Greek words to describe them.
Jesus or The Word was "theos," (God or a god), however the one that he was with is " Ton Theon" The God.
That is the whole point. We say Jesus is God not a god

My friend… I have been at Jehovah’s Witness for 33+ years well studied in the Greek and Hebrew languages…. your position or understanding of John1:1 is just simply incorrect… because respectfully you’re not understanding the grammatical breakdown of the scripture you’re using the idea of the Trinity to understand it so let’s look a little closer at John1:1… what does it say?…. in the beginning was the word and the word was WITH GOD and the word was God/a god ….. now why did I say God/a god… Because of the grammatical breakdown of the scripture, let’s look into it… In the scripture when it says THE WORD WAS WITH GOD… in the Greek.. It says the word ( en pros ton-Theon ) in other words in the Greek, it says the word was WITH THE GOD… and the word was God/ Theos… so my friend you have two God here being spoken of….theos is spoken of as being with ton- Theon … the distinction here is not being spoken of by using personal terms like father or son… the distinction here is being made by way of the word (Theos )GOD. ….… which means Theos is with ton-Theon … that’s two gods one spoken of us being with the other that’s what’s taking place in John 1:1 my friend and that’s why the New World translation in the C portion of that scripture… translate it a god because the word is with THE GOD… automatically making the word a God because the C portion lacks

Jesus is the IMAGE of God… are you clear on what an image is an image is not the thing that it’s imaging but it’s an image of it. From home are all things there’s no Jesus here and it says all things are from God…. and then God used Jesus in creation… when it says yet for us, there is but one God, the father…. That is a category God, the uncreated creator….. and there is only one member/person being placed in that category. That’s the father….. he’s the uncreated creator because he’s the only person being placed in that category…. and then it makes a statement from Home are all things all things and then it goes on to say through Jesus… because Jesus are son is not placed in the category …. That includes Jesus….. because it says God the father is the source of all things once again all things and there’s only one member being placed in the category of God, father….
